Lead Manager - Financial Planning & Analysis
SUMMARY
Manage comprehensive financial planning, reporting, and analysis processes and provide decision support to the AICPA Finance leadership team as well as revenue and cost center teams within AICPA.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Business Support and Analysis - Guide team in providing relevant and timely analyses of monthly results to business owners. Prepare for and actively participate in meetings to review significant account variances in comparison to forecast and budget.
· Collaborate with business teams and lead team in identification and analysis of relevant data to provide insight into revenue, COGS, margin, expense and profitability trends of the businesses.
· Analyze financial information and reports to provide accurate and timely financial recommendations to management for decision making purposes.
· Guide development of appropriate metrics to aid in identifying financial risks and opportunities.
· Identify opportunities to reduce costs and / or generate new revenue.
· Prepare materials for recurring meetings with the AICPA’s Board of Directors and subcommittees, the AICPA’s CEO and the CEO’s direct reports, and others. Present at and actively participate in related meetings as deemed appropriate.
· Lead and support strategic and operational initiatives, assess related scope and prioritization, and effectively manage team resources and expectations of key stakeholders.
Budgeting and Forecasting
· Direct the annual budget and recurrent forecast processes:
o Work with the COO, CFO and Director of Finance to develop expectations and targets.
o Effectively communicate issues and updates to senior management.
o Lead the Finance team to achievement of deliverables and deadlines.

· Work collaboratively with Finance staff and business owners to develop budgets and forecasts, evaluating, analyzing and challenging budget and forecast assumptions when appropriate.
· Guide and assist the business owners in their reviews with senior management.
· Develop and communicate organization-wide timelines related to budget and forecasts to business owners.
· Prepare materials for meetings with executive staff, Finance Committee, Board of Directors and other parties. Lead portions of the discussion and otherwise actively participate in those meetings.
Process Improvements
· Identify opportunities to streamline processes through automation.
· Obtain business owner feedback about their needs and expectations.
· Improve performance by evaluating processes to facilitate workflow efficiencies and streamline processes.
Other
· Assist with the annual audit by preparing and reviewing requested schedules and addressing auditor inquiries.
· Cultivate and maintain business relationships across the organization to understand business owners’ needs and expectations.
· Conduct interviews, make hiring decisions, provide salary recommendations, monitor and assign work, coach, mentor and develop employees; develop work plans and conduct performance evaluations.
· Foster a collaborative, team-oriented attitude; communicate with clarity and transparency.
· Help set team priorities, goals and deadlines.

- · Minimum 3 years of managerial, supervisory or leadership experience
- · Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related area of study
- · Advanced degree or certification, such as CPA, CGMA, MBA, or CFM
- · Oracle General Ledger, Discoverer and ADI experience
- · Intermediate-to-advanced Microsoft Excel skills
