SUMMARY

The Director - Enterprise Solutions performs a critical role to ensure there is a coherent, cohesive and cost-effective Information Technology solutions framework to support the AICPA strategic plan. Leads a team in delivering enterprise-wide technology initiatives driving business outcomes.  The role will lead diverse technology teams, fostering collaboration, analysis and successful execution of initiatives.  Leads teams to increase process, documentation and business support efficiencies and create a culture of continuous improvement.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop a technology strategy and select IT products & services to implement IT capability aligned with the AICPA business strategy.

·         Direct the development of technology solutions for business processes and change cases, by identifying desired outcomes, scoping projects and initiatives, assigning roles and making recommendations and decisions. 

·         Advise and counsel organization leaders to set expectations, and ensure process and documentation consistency related to enterprise technology initiatives

·         Monitor, manage and communicate project status and potential issues and risks, including capacity, pacing and resources. Facilitate the assimilation and integration of new technologies and/or change initiatives into the business operations.

  • Implement technology policies aligned to AICPA business objectives.
  • Define and manage technology standards and create technology roadmaps that align with the IT portfolio.
  • Develop integration and middleware strategies to leverage all IT solutions
  • Ensure IT vendor alignment to the IT technical standards.
  • Provide technical input to vendor selection for projects and services.
  • Create an enterprise architecture repository and technology documentation standards.
  • Define and lead the data governance processes, including the creation of IT Business Intelligence team.
  • Ensure effective stakeholder engagement and communications.
  • Produce key metrics that demonstrate measurable results/improvements.
  • Cultivates a team culture centered on customer service, continual learning, employee growth and entrepreneurial thinking.
  • Serve as key contributor in the creation and management of the annual IT budget.
  • Conduct interviews, make hiring decisions, provide salary recommendations, monitor and assign work, coach, mentor and develop employees; develop work plans and conduct performance evaluations.
  • Lead a large team of developers, business analysts, enterprise architects, solution architects, and QA testers.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

  • ·         Advanced knowledge of multiple related IT functions
  • ·         Advanced level knowledge of enterprise SaaS, PaaS, IaaS solutions and other related cloud technologies
  • ·         Advanced level knowledge of project management and organizational change management principles/methodologies (e.g. PMI, Agile)
  • ·         Advanced experience with managing contracts, negotiations, and vendor/partner relationships
  • ·         Advanced understanding of business processes of the customer and ability to leverage this knowledge to ensure that projects and support activities delivered by direct reports meet the needs of the customer
  • ·         Advanced level knowledge of internal compliance/regulatory concepts, standards, methodologies and controls (e.g. CoBit, SSAE-16, SOX, CMMI, PCI-DSS)
  • ·         Advanced level of knowledge of various Enterprise Application systems and their related architectures (e.g. ERP, CRM, HRMS, SharePoint etc.)
  • ·         Highly skilled at structured thinking and decision-making: ability to develop and leverage frameworks to structure team thinking, facilitate alignment on key strategic decisions across stakeholders, and reach insightful, productive, actionable answers
  • ·         Highly skilled at deconstructing highly complex problems into actionable items to be resolved by team members in a timely manner
  • ·         Skilled at open-ended conversations and organizing creative thought discussions in to concrete deliverables.
  • ·         Skilled at analytic and written presentation: Quick and high quality analysis and presentation, with an ability to define and outline achievements to diverse target audiences
  • ·         Skilled at translating technical jargon into laymen's terms for business owners/partners that are actionable, informational, or support the decision making process
  • ·         Ability to drive ROI and TCO performance
  • ·         Ability to delegate responsibilities effectively
  • ·         Ability to set and change priorities amongst multiple competing constituencies
  • ·         Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects
 

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • ·         10 years’ experience of progressively responsible management experience in Information Technology or related areas.
 
EDUCATION REQUIRED
  • ·         Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology or a combination of education and experience required.
 
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION PREFERRED
  • ·         Master's Degree in Business Administration       
  • ·         Technology certifications (e.g. Oracle, Microsoft, SAP, etc…)
  • ·         ITIL v3 Certification
  • ·         PMP, Six Sigma, BPM Certifications
