SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Director of Diversity and Inclusion, the Associate Manager provides operational support activities for the National Commission on Diversity and Inclusion (NCDI) and is responsible for the execution of various diversity and inclusion initiatives. The Associate Manager of Diversity and Inclusion is also responsible for supporting the operational activities in the role of staff liaison for the AICPA Foundation to help accomplish successful strategic priorities, initiatives and core values. Additionally, the Associate Manager of Diversity and Inclusion provides support for the Diversity and Inclusion Team in their execution of various diversity and inclusion programs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Provide Operational Support for the NCDI
o Coordinates, plans, and schedules NCDI meetings under the direction of the Director of Diversity and Inclusion and the Chair of the NCDI.
o Arranges travel and hotel through internal approved agents, prepares itineraries, trip file and supplies.
o Compiles, coordinates and distributes briefing materials for meetings; minutes, and other resources required to enable the NCDI to function effectively
o Responds to NCDI member requests for information in collaboration with the Diversity and Inclusion Team members and other AICPA teams, as appropriate
o Manages requests for NCDI member speaking engagements, and media interview (in conjunction with the AICPA’s Communications team)
o Assists in researching, drafts or abstracts reports for NCDI members and/or meetings
o Assists in facilitating the effective functioning of any working task groups that are formed by the NCDI; tracking assignments, due dates, providing appropriate information in advance of NCDI meetings and appropriate follow-up as needed
o Creates and maintains NCDI calendar and working files; providing timely and effective reminders of assignments and track necessary feedback
o Maintains records/metrics for programs including participation numbers and costs, and document effectiveness
o Maintains integrity of information for management and generating trust of team members and NCDI members.
o Takes initiative on requests and inquiries of administrative nature.
o Maintains a consistent pleasant and professional disposition with internal and external stakeholders.
· Provide operational support for the AICPA Foundation
o Assists the Foundation Trustees in the development and execution of the Foundation strategic direction.
o Coordinates, plans and schedules Foundation meetings under the direction of the Foundation Secretary and the Chair of the Foundation
o Arranges travel and hotel through internal approved agents, prepares itineraries, trip files and supplies.
o Compilation, coordination and distribution of briefing materials for meetings; minutes, and other resources required to enable the Foundation to function effectively
o Responds to Trustee requests for information in collaboration with the Foundation Secretary and other AICPA teams, as appropriate
o Assists Trustees working on special projects and/or speaking engagements
o Researches, drafts or abstracts reports for Trustees and/or meetings
o Maintains Foundation calendar and working files; providing timely and effective reminders of assignments and track necessary feedback
o Manages the submission process for funding requests; insuring that appropriate forms and complete and signed and that appropriate interface, reports and actions are taken with Finance team to insure fiduciary responsibilities are carried out
o Maintains records/metrics for programs including participation numbers and costs, and document effectiveness
o Takes initiative on requests and inquiries of administrative nature.
o Maintains a consistent positive and professional disposition when interacting with internal and external stakeholders.
· Provide project coordination for the Diversity and Inclusion team.
· Provides meeting planning and coordination for various diversity and inclusion initiatives.
· Coordinates program implementation, under the direction of diversity and inclusion team members.
· Participates in department budget planning and development.
· Updates department project work plan, status and calendar or schedules; monitors, reviews, and evaluates progress.
· Serves as a liaison; acts as a resource person by performing research, analyzing information, providing documentation, and preparing reports.
· Prepares records of project activities; oversees and ensures the timely processing in and the delivery key milestones.
· Verifies and analyzes the accuracy of all data and information used or generated by project; resolves any discrepancies or problems.
· Serves as liaison for department; coordinates activities and exchanges information.
o Maintains positive strategic relationships with internal AICPA teams and external partner organizations to promote collaboration and information exchange.
o Maintains a consistent positive and professional disposition when interacting with internal and external stakeholders.

· Demonstrated ability to work smoothly and effectively with senior management and maintain alignment with the National Commission and AICPA Foundation strategic priorities
· Demonstrated ability to maintain strict confidentiality
· Must exhibit a C-suite level professional demeanor in dealing with various individuals at all levels of the organization and community
· High degree of customer service focus and work ethic, including the ability to problem-solve effectively
· Experience with and/or knowledge of web based systems and programs
Experience with social media tools, web casts, pod casts, etc.
Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment with changing priorities
· Confidence and the ability to work in an environment that requires confidentiality, discretion, and the highest level of professionalism
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
· Minimum of three years’ work experience
EDUCATION REQUIRED
· Bachelor’s degree required
