SUMMARY
Provides IT operations and administrative support to CAQ for the organization’s standard hardware, software, and voice/data network solutions. Ensures the availability of all computing systems services for the CAQ by: 1) providing prompt and accurate Tier 1 – 3 help desk support; 2) providing advanced technical support for information technologies, including virtualization, SaaS and the underlying technologies hosted by such platforms; 3) carrying out technical design, installation, and maintenance of IT systems, such as servers, operating systems, backup services, and disaster recovery.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Support for IT Service Desk Project: using existing documentation, recommendations, and resources, establish an IT service help desk for the Center for Audit Quality (CAQ). Implement vendor software and best practice processes for ticket receipt, response, escalation, resolution, and documentation. Establishes service level agreements tied to key metrics such as first call resolution, mean time to repair, and reoccurring incidents. The plan will be coupled with extensive training, documentation, and change management support.
Operations Management

Work with the IT Associate Project Manager to ensure the availability of all voice / data computing services within the CAQ. Perform local administration and maintain information technology systems (including PC, mobile device, and LAN equipment). Provide CAQ staff and management support for the installation and life cycle maintenance of PCs, servers, and LAN network connectivity equipment.

Provide new staff with PC/account setup and orientation, and serve as the IT point of contact accountable for the IT portion of new office setups, office expansions, etc. This includes relocation and/or installation of voice/data communications solutions, LAN, PC, and mobile device equipment

Monitor security compliance in accordance with CAQ (AICPA) standards, policies and procedures

Responsible for hardware/software inventory maintenance and software license management.

Prepare the office for, and support the planned future migration to Windows 10
Support Management

Provide technical support that requires an on-site presence (server, NAS, network or PC equipment failure), including data backup recovery.

Create and maintain systems, process, and training documentation.

Responsible for procurement, installation and life-cycle maintenance of IT hardware and software (includes PCs, peripherals, and servers, networking equipment, operating systems and other software).

Provide consulting/training/education services such as data management and staff training/orientation for standard systems.

Manage Active Directory 2012

Advanced Group Policy Management

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
- Demonstrated expertise with Windows 2008/2012 Server administration to include related roles such as Internet Information Services, Hyper-V, Storage and Sharing, Distributed File System and Backups
- Working knowledge of Windows 8.1 workstation configuration and Windows 10
- Experience establishing and executing processes and disciplines for workstation and server image management

Additional work with Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI), Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT) and network architecture a plus

Strong knowledge of: OSI Layer 1 (LAN/WAN) physical layer technologies, Layer 2 technologies (including Switched VLANs, spanning tree, and WLANs) and Layer 3 technologies (including OSPF and BGP).

Design, implement, and manage enterprise-wide LAN/WAN, and ISP network connectivity. This includes troubleshooting and diagnosing data/voice network problems and taking corrective action to address the issues.

Working knowledge of web applications including Web 2.0 solutions (e.g., collaboration, content management, online forums), web security and web programming languages such as HTML, ASP and Java Script

Working experience integrating various Microsoft technologies together in a small data center

Working experience with a small data center; including Microsoft Server, LAN, Cisco firewall/router and switch technologies. Experience working in concert with a Managed Services Provider a plus.

VMware is a plus, but not required

Knowledge of COTS software packages, SaaS systems and web 2.0 applications to address business needs.

Excellent project management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities and plan projects in order to deliver on-time results and play various roles in a dynamic environment

Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to interact effectively with senior level executives and staff to articulate technology solutions in business terms

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Minimum eight years provided technical support and engineering services, preferably in a professional services or association organization.
EDUCATION REQUIRED

Bachelor’s Degree or related experience
