Specialist - Documentation & Controls (temporary)
DESCRIPTION
Develop user-friendly documentation, help text, FAQs and quick reference guides to support a new computer system based on process flows, requirements, other material and prototypes. Transform the documentation into training material for respective user groups. Edits and updates documentation in a fast-paced environment of system implementation. Creates and delivers high-quality technical documentation and training material for all user groups that support the team's operations. Communicate clearly and effectively to a wide range of users and internal teams.
Applying their knowledge of the users of the product, the documentation specialist may serve as part of a team conducting usability studies to help improve the design of a product that is in the prototype stage.
QUALIFICATIONS
1. excellent communication skills
2.ability to write using clear and concise language that adheres to customer-established standards. Excellent knowledge of the English language, grammar, usage and composition.
3. a self-starter with the ability to work independently and produce high quality deliverables
4. ability to learn system software changes using system flows, requirements and other material, working with software engineers and prototypes
5. ability to use graphics, photographs, tables, figures, diagrams, charts and create graphic material using PowerPoint or other in house software
6. consult relevant information sources including staff, developers, manuals and Standards
7. Proficient in MS Office programs, specifically Word and Excel, and general web-based software applications
8. attention to detail
9. team player
10. bachelors degree preferred
11. 5 years experience developing system or training documentation
12. excellent organizational skills
