Senior Manager - Business Integration
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Plan, execute and manage day-to-day implementation activities associated with evolving the joint venture between the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) focused on integrating strategies, operations and management of the 2 organizations

Develop implementation tools and methodology to be used by AICPA and CIMA Program and/or Project Work-streams to advance strategic and functional value drivers

Work cross-functionally within and across AICPA and CIMA to develop and track implementation project plans across work streams

Conduct cross-functional and individual status/check-in meetings to gauge/assess/report work stream progress

Define program milestones and identify interdependencies between activities and deliverables within projects and programs

Management of project and program, risks issues, escalating as appropriate in a timely manner

Collaborate with applicable teams to quantify and track value driver and synergy realization

Prepare presentations to senior leadership, as applicable
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
None at onset; could change as position evolves
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

Evidence of working across cultures, especially U.S. and U.K.

Travel required (domestic and international; international primarily to the U.K.) – at times such travel may be between 30-50%

Strong verbal and written communication

Strong influencing, facilitation and negotiating skills

Task management and professional organization skills

Use of previous project/program methodology and software tracking (e.g. Microsoft Project)
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
-
10 years of work experience, with 5 years of post-merger integration/implementation experience
-
External management consulting and/or internal business consultant experience within an organization working in a role associated with business integration/implementation activities

Demonstrated ability to execute integration/implementation activities within an organization
-
Understanding and experience of a formal risk management approach/strategy
EDUCATION REQUIRED

Bachelor’s degree
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION PREFERRED

Master’s degree/MBA
-
Project management certification - PRINCE 2 and/or PMP
-
Undergraduate and/or graduate education in accounting, finance, operations management, strategy planning
