Inside Sales Representative
Summary of Role
Act as first point of contact with new prospects to ensure a successful transition between marketing and sales. Is responsible for qualifying inbound leads through various discovery methods and securing a hand-off to an assigned Direct Sales Representative for opportunity development.
Accountabilities & Responsibilities
· Responsible for developing and qualifying inbound leads, outbound prospecting via cold calling, and aligning to a geographic territory for follow up on general inquiries.
· Develop list of leads by working with marketing, using web, or other sources.
· Research leads and accounts to identify key contacts and critical account information prior to prospecting call.
· Pre-qualify inquiries/leads using email and phone.
· Develop compelling initial value proposition.
· Perform inbound and outbound prospecting to qualify and market our product to potential customers.
· Qualify lead, generate interest, and set appointment for Direct Sales Representatives to speak with prospects.
· Plan for first appointment and transition lead to Direct Sales Representative.
· Log, track and maintain lead and contact records within Salesforce.com
· Monitor sales follow-up and progress from qualified leads to opportunities.
· Produce a high level of call and email activity daily.
· Achieve or exceed goal for qualified meetings on a monthly basis.
· Provide weekly status/activity reports to Sales Director.
· Travel, as needed, to sales/marketing events.
· Perform additional duties as required.

Knowledge, Skills &
Abilities Required

Knowledge of business
development principles and tactics, including prequalification and telephone
sales

Organized, independent,
resourceful and diligent in maintaining CRM data (Salesforce CRM experience
preferred)

rapport with potential clients over the phone

Ability to communicate
effectively and tactfully with all levels of client personnel and internal team
members

Required Experience,
Qualifications & Education
·
2-3 years professional
experience, preferably in marketing, business development and sales activities
·
Bachelor’s degree, preferably
in marketing, business or equivalent
·
Lead development experience
preferred
